Navigating the Site
What do the pencil and star symbols mean? Articles marked with a pencil icon are for registered users only. You can become a registered user by clicking here. Articles marked with the star icon are reserved for CPI Subscribers. Information about becoming a subscriber is here.
How often is new content added to the site? About 24 new pages of content is added to the website each month and between five and ten news articles are added each week.
What articles can a registered user view? CPI selects one or more articles from updated content each month and makes it available free to registered users. Additionally, registered users can view the news and download white papers.
What articles can a subscriber view? CPI subscribers can view all articles.
Where are old articles stored? All articles are stored in the archive area. To view the News archives click here. To view the Subscriber archives click here.
Registering and Subscribing
What is the difference between a “registered user” and a “subscriber”? Registered users can only view selected articles. These are marked with a pencil icon. Registration is free. Complete the form here to become a registered user. Subscribers can view all content – including everything marked with a star icon. You can subscribe online here.
How do I become a subscriber? There are two types of subscription – a single-user subscription and an enterprise subscription, which is for 25 users within one organization. Both types of subscriptions are for one year and are payable in US dollars. You can subscribe online here.
Can I share my username and password with someone else? Sharing your username and password with another individual is a breach of your license agreement with CPI. Every individual using the website as a registered user or a subscriber must have their own username and password.
How do I sign up for email newsletters and alerts? When you register, you can select which email newsletters and alerts you wish to receive. You can register here. If you have already registered and wish to change your selection, then log in and click on this link.
How do I pay for my subscription? You can pay for your subscription online by card or alternatively we will invoice you. The invoice has additional payment instructions allowing you to pay by electronic transfer of funds or check.
When does my subscription commence? Your subscription starts as soon as payment has been received.
Can I buy an individual article? CPI does not sell access to individual articles.
How do I cancel my annual subscription? In the event that a first-time subscriber decides to cancel his/her subscription, CPI will refund the unused portion of the subscription provided that the subscriber requests a refund by email within sixty days of their subscription commencing. Refund emails must be sent to customerservice@commercialpaymentsinternational.com. All refund emails must receive an email acknowledgement to be valid.
How do I change my user preferences? To change your user preferences, log-in and go to my account.
Can I access my account from more than one computer? You can access your account from any computer. If you are a subscriber and your account is regularly being accessed from more than one location, we may write and ask you to confirm that you have not shared your username and password with other users.
I’ve forgotten my password or username Your username is your email address. If you cannot remember which email address you have used, please email customerservice@commercialpaymentsinternational.com providing your full name and address. To request a password reminder, click here.
Emails
What are the email newsletters? Email newsletters are sent out to keep you up to date with the latest articles or news published by CPI and to keep you informed of events held by CPI. To receive emails, register here. If you have already registered, log in and go to My Account
How do I subscribe to the email newsletters? When you register, you can select which email newsletters and alerts you wish to receive. You can register here. If you have already registered or subscribed and wish to change your selection, then log in and click here.
How do I unsubscribe from the email newsletters? Login and go to My Account.
Why have I stopped receiving the email newsletters? We will stop sending you emails if you unselect the email boxes on your account. If you did not want to stop receiving emails from us, log in and check your email settings. If you have selected to receive emails from us, but are not receiving any, then you may find that your email program is wrongly identifying CPI email as junk email. To avoid this happening, you may wish to add us to your safe senders list. Note: we stop sending emails if we get more than three consecutive emails bouncing. Please check that your email address is correct.
