  • Alan Koenigsberg

    SVP, Global Head of New Payment Flows

    Alan Koenigsberg is global head of new payments flows for the Visa Business Solutions team. In this role, Alan is leading all aspects of commercialization of Visa B2B Connect, a unique multilateral cross- border B2B payments network, as well as opening up new payment opportunities within accounts receivable and payables space, as well as overall account-to-account B2B payments. Prior to this role, Alan was Chief Revenue Officer for Traxpay, a payments and supply chain Fintech based in Germany. During his tenure, he grew the startup to over 100 employees, playing a key role in platform development and initial go-to-market relationship building with financial institutions. Alan is an experienced payments and treasury professional who was previously Managing Director and Corporate Banking Group Executive at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAML).  In this role, Alan worked with global corporates to provide corporate lending and treasury management solutions to them around the world. Prior to BAML, Alan held Transaction Banking leadership roles, along with product management positions, at JPMorgan in New York and London. Prior to JPMorgan, Alan held Product Management and Operations roles at American Express. Alan holds a MBA and BS and sits on two non-profits boards in NY and LA. He has been a NACHA Payments Conference Board member and Chairman.  Alan currently resides in Los Angeles, with his spouse and two dogs.

    Andrea Gilman is senior vice president of new payments in the North American region at Mastercard; she is responsible for creating and implementing product commercialization strategies to drive significant growth from real time payments and b2b payments. Andrea was recently elected to the board of the US Faster Payments Council. She holds a Master of Business Administration from New York University, Leonard N. Stern School of Business with a concentration in Technology and Marketing, and a Bachelor of Arts from Bowdoin College, magna cum laude. Andrea is a board member of Girls Inc. Westchester, a not for profit with the powerful mission of empowering girls to succeed.

Prior to starting Extend, Andrew was the head of B2B Corporate Payments Products at American Express with a mandate to drive digital payment innovation and adoption. Over the course of six years, he doubled the size of B2B payment volumes by launching and scaling new capabilities and platforms. Prior to American Express, Andrew spent eight years managing global SAP deployments for large multinational corporations.

Bill has more than 15 years experience in the technology and banking industry with a focus on business payments and working capital solutions.

  • Bradley Matthews
    Bradley Matthews US Bank
    SVP, Head of Middle Market Bankcard Product & Marketing

    Bradley Matthews leads the strategic development and marketing of commercial purchasing and travel card programs for U.S. Bank’s middle market business-to-business customers in North America. He assumed the position in February 2015 after having previously led the bank’s strategic travel payment product team. Bradley has been in the financial services and payments business since 1998. His experience includes 13 years leading strategy, development and operations for financial services technologies at American Express. He earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati, where he majored in Computer Science, with an emphasis on robotics and artificial intelligence. Bradley is an accomplished public speaker who has presented at numerous professional forums, including the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), the National Association of Purchasing Card Professionals (NAPCP) and Commercial Payments International (CPI)’s Middle Market Commercial Cards and Payments Summit. He serves on CPI’s Middle Market Advisory Board. His on-camera experience includes the Killer Innovations podcast and Middle Market Executive On Location, among other programs.

    Head of Partnerships & Business Development

    Bruno Perreault leads Partnerships and Business Development at Plastiq. Bruno has been focused on digitizing the commercial billing and payments market for over 25 years. His experience includes roles at global Card companies such as American Express and MasterCard as well as at private companies such as Billtrust and the Tungsten Network (OB10) where he led teams that created and launched more than 20 new digital products and product categories that transform how buyers and sellers transact. Bruno received his MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Business and Computer Sciences from the Universitée de Sherbrooke in Canada.

    Chris is a Senior Vice President at KAE, the strategic marketing consultancy. Chris joined KAE in 2007 and during this time, he has managed multiple high profile global projects across the payments space (focusing on various issuing and acquiring topics across both the commercial and consumer payments sectors), banking, FinTech, AltFi and telco industries. His specialist skills are geared to NPD, market sizing and opportunity assessments, benchmarking, and best practice identification. He also heads KAE’s FinTech practice as well as KAE’s wider marketing and business development activity. Chris holds a BSc (Hons) Business Studies degree from the Cass Business School and is also a qualified professional marketer (DipM) and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM). Prior to joining KAE, Chris provided market research and consultancy support on Responsible Business Practice and international development opportunities for the UK Food and Drink industry.

    Christina recently joined Priority Commercial Payments as senior vice president of strategic partnerships and commercial acceptance. Previously, Christina was senior director of partnerships and new initiatives at Visa Inc., where her leadership was instrumental indeveloping product strategy and building an ecosystem of strategic business to business partnerships in the accounts payable, accounts receivable and alternative lending segments. Prior to joining Visa, Christina spent 10 years at TSYS, a global payment processor, serving in various leadership positions within information technology, consulting and product management. As director of business and product development, Christina delivered solutions for financial institutions who support the small business, corporate and government sectors. Christina earned her bachelor of science in management information systems from Troy University and her master of business administration from Auburn University. Outside of work, Christina enjoys spending time with her husband and her five children, cooking and traveling. When she is not busy with her family, she enjoys yoga, reading and wine tasting.

  • Cindy O’Neill

    President, Commercial Payments Division

    As President of Priority Commercial Payments, Cindy O’Neill has oversight for the Commercial Payments Exchange (CPX) ® and ACH.com Divisions. She is responsible for the development and growth of Priority’s commercial solutions suite, supporting both traditional and transitional payments, in addition to a full suite of targeted supplier acceptance solutions. Prior to joining Priority, Ms. O’Neill spent 17 years in treasury management banking, holding leadership positions at Wells Fargo and Bank of America. Capitalizing on her deep understanding of the challenges large financial intuitions struggled with serving their global treasury clients, VISA appointed her as its Head of Global Product Management and Region Head of U.S. Commercial business. After 5 years at VISA, Ms. O’Neill transitioned to become EVP and General Manager at Electronic Funds Source leading the growth of its Commercial Payments business through its 2016 sale to Wright Express. Ms. O’Neill has a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of Southern California and an Executive Certification from the Columbia Business School.

    David has over 20 years’ experience in the payments industry and was previously with a major UK Commercial Card Issuer before being asked to join Visa Europe. He held a series of leadership positions at Visa, including Head of Commercial Card Products for Large & Mid Markets, Head of Government Services, Head of European Market Development and Regulatory Workstream leader. Based in London, David established PaySavi in 2018 to deliver insights, project management, business development and research support to a range of Issuer, Acquirer, Scheme and FinTech clients in EMEA and the USA. David also works with regulators and business associations, with a focus on tackling late payments and increasing access to working capital. Based on increased demands for support on regulation, David established SaviCom to provide advisory and implementation services on PSD2, GDPR and IFR.

  • David Kretz

    Managing Director, Head of GTS Global Strategy & Payments

    David Kretz is Managing Director and head of Global Strategy and Payments in the Global Transaction Services (GTS) business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He is based in New York. Kretz and his team work with GTS product and regional leadership to originate and execute a holistic, cross-product strategy. His team has direct responsibility for wholesale payments, inclusive of high value, low value, foreign exchange payments and banknotes, delivered to large corporate multinationals, commercial banking, business banking, financial institutions, non-bank financial institutions and public sector clients. Those line responsibilities include end-to-end product and profit- and-loss management, product development, pricing, training and marketing. Previously, Kretz was head of Global Cross Currency (FX) Product Management. Prior to that, he was chief operating officer for GTS. Kretz has over 30 years of experience in financial services. Prior to joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch in 2011, he spent seven years with J.P. Morgan in various senior roles within Treasury Services, including global head of Strategy and Western Hemisphere Liquidity Product Executive. Previously, he spent seven years as a banking consultant, and nine years in middle market banking. Kretz is on the Board of Directors of NACHA, The Electronics Payments Association, and also on the SWIFT U.S. National Group. He is a graduate of Bradley University with a BS in Finance and holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management.

Dean is a well-respected veteran of the electronic payments industry with nearly 25 years of experience in various leadership roles at both public and private companies. Dean has received numerous awards from his industry peers and is often asked to speak at industry events. Dean currently serves on the advisory board of Commercial Payments International, having previously served two terms on the board of directors of the Electronic Transaction Association. Dean holds a B.A. with high honors from Emory University, where he served on the college’s Alumni Board of Trustees from 2002-2008.

    Divakar is a specialist leader in our Financial Services Strategy practice. He brings over 15 years of global experience leading growth strategy, product strategy and innovation for clients across the payments ecosystem. His work has focused on go-to-market strategy and execution for cards, B2B payments, virtual cards and mobile payments. He has helped clients launch payments products in multiple geographies, developed an integrated B2B payments portfolio for SME segments, led the customer servicing strategy for payments network and assessed requirements for enabling an interoperable faster payments system for a central bank. He leads Deloitte’s Payments Research Center and is the co-author of B2B Payments for the Middle Market. He has been with Deloitte since 2007.

    Erik is an innovator, a creative leader, a UX strategist and an entrepreneur. After over 20 years in advertising, digital marketing and digital transformation consulting, he left the industry behind to co-found EedenBull, a customer-centric FinTech delivering payment solutions and banking-as-a-service products to banks. Erik is driven by problem/solutions, focusing on fixing real-world problems with great ideas and innovative and relevant technologies. Erik has lived and worked in four different markets; Norway, Australia, Singapore and China, as well as overseeing work across Asia Pacific, the Nordics and the globe. He currently lives in Singapore. Erik is a renowned speaker on the subjects of Innovation and Digital Transformation, has taught a number of courses and seminars in digital, and has been a recurring guest lecturer at the Norwegian School of Management (BI). He has published a number of articles.

    Gonca Latif-Schmitt is a Managing Director within Citi’s Treasury and Trade Services at Citi based in New York. Gonca is on the Treasury and Trade Solutions Executive Committee as the Global Head of Commercial Cards. In this role Gonca provides leadership to a global and cross functional team of 1500+ professionals across Sales, Product Management, Client Delivery and Technology. As the Global Head of Commercial Cards, Gonca develops the strategic direction for the business as well as provides operational oversight for a global business spanning over 100 countries. Gonca has been with Citi for 23 years. Prior to her current appointment, she was the North America Business Head of Commercial Card responsible for Citi’s end to end NA card business as well as management of NA headquartered clients programs globally. Prior to her role in Commercial Cards, Gonca was responsible for Development Organizations and Embassy Banking segment within the North America Public Sector Group. Her team primarily focused on managing a global portfolio of solutions that leverage Citi’s 100+ country footprint. She worked closely to develop financial solutions to support these clients as they deliver humanitarian aid in development markets globally. In the early part of her career, her focus had been on managing client relationships across several verticals to include industrials, media, broker/dealer, mutual funds and public sector. Gonca holds a BA from New York University. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and two daughters.

  • Gregoire Toussaint

    Greg Toussaint is a Principal at Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC) based in the Paris office. He has more than 14 years of consulting experience with EDC in business strategy for financial services clients in multiple Asian, European and North American countries. Greg has worked in EDC London's, Sydney's and Paris' offices and developed global perspectives on payments. He has gained extensive knowledge in mobile payments, retail payments, card products and alternative forms of payments while working for a diversity of actors in the payments space (e.g. issuing and acquiring banks, merchants, payment schemes and payment providers). In particular, Greg has developed significant expertise in the commercial payment space. Greg has worked extensively with both demand-side clients (e.g. airline sector such as IATA, hotels such as AccorHotels, rail operators such as SNCF) and supply-side clients (e.g. schemes such as UATP, issuers such as BNP Paribas or actors such as AirPlus or WEX). For instance, Greg led an extensive RFI and RFP process for IATA to select providers for IATA EasyPay (a pay-as-you-go wallet for travel agents) in more than 100 countries. Greg holds a Masters in Applied Mathematics and Computer Sciences from both Grenoble Institute of Technology in France and Barcelona Tech (UPC) in Spain.

    James Anderson is Executive Vice President, Commercial Products. He assumed this role on April 2, 2018. In this role he is responsible for all Mastercard’s products and programs targeted at businesses – including Small and Medium Enterprise (SME) and Large Market card programs, Virtual Card solutions for Accounts Payables and a set of new products under development. Before taking on this role, James was Executive Vice President - Digital Payment Products leading three initiatives; Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES), Masterpass and the API platform. James has spent his career at the intersection of mobile, payment, and internet technologies in Product Development, Business Development and General Management roles. James joined Mastercard in 2007.

    Jodi Woods is the Global Category Manager in Global Procurement for Travel, Meetings and Card at BD. Jodi is responsible for managing the global strategies and works closely with the Expense Management team on the day-to-day operations, inclusive of supporting mergers, acquisitions and divestitures to ensure smooth transitions for Travel and Card. She was recently the first recipient of the CPO (Chief Procurement Officer) award at BD for sustained performance on the Global Procurement team. Previous to BD, Jodi also held various Procurement roles with Cadbury Schweppes, Unilever and Novartis Pharmaceuticals. She graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University with a BS in Business Management and resides in NJ with her family.

Josh’s key focus is the development of bespoke payment solutions spanning T+E and B2B verticals in commercial payments. Previously, Josh worked in public health, evaluating efficiencies with payment processes, graduating with a Masters in Economics from Heriot-Watt University.

    Kevin Phalen is Senior Vice President and Global Head of Visa Business Solutions. Kevin joined Visa in 2017 and is using his past experience and success in commercial and business banking to increase Visa’s edge as the leader in the payments space for commercial payment solutions. Prior to joining Visa, Kevin led the Commercial Card, Prepaid Card and Comprehensive Payables business for Bank of America Merrill Lynch. He also led the Public Sector Banking GTS coverage team. Additionally, earlier in his 9 years with the bank, Kevin led the Merchant business along with the Trade and Supply Chain business. Kevin also spent 7 years at JP Morgan Chase earlier in his career. Kevin and his wife Deb recently moved from Chicago to San Francisco. Kevin has two sons, Liam age 22, recently graduated from the University of Edinburgh and Quin age 20 just started his 3rd year at the University of Edinburgh.

    As Product Director for Commercial Card, Maria oversees the strategy and product design of all T&E and B2B Commercial Cards Products for Barclaycard. Since joining Barclaycard in 2014, Maria has spearheaded the growth of Barclaycard’s B2B payments by investing in innovative and design rich product capabilities; developing tech partnerships to embed B2B payments “into the layer”; and focussing her team on specific industry verticals such as Travel and Procurement payments to unlock market opportunities. Prior to her current role, Maria worked for Barclays Investment & Corporate Banking division. Her earlier career was with Booz&Allen as a senior consultant within their European financial services practice.

    Melissa Sefic is SVP, Head of Commercial Payments International, an organization that produces educational networking events for professionals in the commercial card and payments industry. With over 15 years’ experience in the conference and events business, Melissa comes from American Banker where she oversaw sales and business development initiatives acting as a consultant to many organizations looking to expand their brand and thought leadership presence in the U.S. She is based in New York City.

  • Michael Cliffe

    Mike has 20 years’ experience within businesses where software technology is central and 11 years at C-level, having delivered value within Reuters, Nokia, First Data, Ford’s Formula 1 Division (Pi), and mxData. Mike graduated with 1st class Degree in Computer Science and HND in Software Engineering, and received performance awards by Addison Wesley and Oracle. He continued his post graduate interests through Open University and Henley Business School. Actively interested in the business start-up scene, prior to Dataflexnet, Mike helped found several businesses including an online retail (e-commerce), technology consultancy, and travel products across the mobile ecosystem where he ultimately contributed to the exceptional growth achieved at mxData. Mike joined Dataflexnet in 2016 as Chief Technology Officer (Director) with ambitious plans to nurture, manage and grow Dataflexnet's product and development group capability across virtual card, data processing, and retail of travel product.

    Nicki has enjoyed more than 35 years in the cards and payments industry internationally. Most recently as Group Head for PayTech – a specialist advisory services company supporting payment schemes, banks, processors and corporate clients on leveraging the opportunities provided in this highly specialized space worldwide. PayTech has under his leadership delivered more than 700 projects in 32 countries in the past 10 years alone and provided consulting services to 65% of the world’s 20 largest banks and a long list of smaller ones. Today, PayTech is recognized as a leader in their field of specialist payments expertise. Prior to founding PayTech, Nicki had a distinguished career from leadership positions as CEO at EnterCard, Head of Corporate Products at Visa Europe, Senior Vice President and head of products at DNB and Marketing Director at Sparebankort in Norway. He was instrumental setting up the new and very successful FinTech company EedenBull in 2018 in response to customer demand from banks looking for practical support for new and innovative payment solutions in a time where new technologies, new regulations and new players are changing the way consumers and businesses think about payments. He was consequently appointed Chief Executive Officer at EedenBull in May 2018.

    As the Head of Emerging Markets and Strategy, Nicole conducts the strategic assessment of markets, products, and initiatives through acquisitions, partnerships, and existing assets in order to meet the business’ profit and growth goals. In addition, Nicole leads the Virtual Pay business unit as well as leads a team focused on Customer Advocacy. Prior to joining U.S. Bank, Nicole managed Global Product and Marketing at WEX Inc. leading the globalization of its commercial card product, building international brand awareness, creating lead generation strategies to sustain growth, and developing retention strategies for existing customers. Nicole also worked at First Annapolis Consulting assisting with the management of client engagements which include strategy development for major card associations, merchant services providers, and banks; support on payments-oriented M&A transactions; and analysis on payments trends for industry-leading companies in Europe, India, Mexico, Canada, and the U.S. Nicole earned a BBA from the University of Georgia, magna cum laude, and a MBA from the University of Maryland.

    Oscar J. Mangini is the Global Head of Partnerships & Innovation for Commercial Cards, focused on sourcing and implementing partnerships, alliances and fintech relationships on behalf of Treasury & Trade Solutions (TTS) Commercial Cards in order to drive innovation and business growth; driving collaboration with the TTS Innovation Lab and other TTS product groups; developing strategic partnerships with Consumer Cards and the consumer cards market; and serving as Business Lead on client operations business transformation initiatives. Before joining the Commercial Cards team in November of 2018, Oscar led the BIN Sponsorship team that successfully transferred more than $700 million in prepaid card deposits and hundreds of programs to Wirecard AG as part of the sale of the Citi Prepaid Business. Previously, Oscar spent four years in Tokyo, first as Head of Cards Sales & Distribution and then as President and CEO of Citi Cards Japan, a $500 million business, where he led a team of more than 750 employees in growing the consumer cards business and preparing it for sale to Sumitomo Mitsui Trust Bank. Prior to Japan, Oscar spent five years in Seoul, South Korea as Head of the Consumer Cards Product & Portfolio Division, focused on developing and successfully launching several card products following a cards platform migration. He began his career at Citi with the Global Cards team, identifying, developing and launching multi-country card partnerships outside the US. Prior to Citi, Oscar worked at MasterCard, where he focused on growing the payments business throughout Latin America, the Caribbean and other regions, including an expatriate assignment in Mexico City. He holds a BA from Rice University, MBA from NYU Stern, and an International Management Certificate from Hautes Etudes Commerciales in France. Oscar grew up in Argentina and speaks fluent Spanish, and is proficient in French.

    Patrick W. Diemer was born in Mainz in 1957. He studied economics at university in Kiel and Hamburg. He began his professional career at PRODIGY in White Plains, NY, USA. After that, he headed the Marketing department of Matuschka Privat Finanz GmbH in Munich, Germany. In 1991, that company was taken over by Commerzbank. He then switched to the Commerzbank in Frankfurt where, as a Director, he was last responsible for all private client Marketing. From 1997 to 2003, Patrick W. Diemer was General Manager of Visa International in Germany. He came to AirPlus International in 2003. As Chairman of the AirPlus Board, he is responsible for Marketing, Sales, HR, Strategy and Transformation and thus for the international expansion of all operations.

    Paul Horn is a Managing Director and Global Product Manager and Sales Head for Citibank’s Commercial Cards product group. Paul has been with Citi Treasury and Trade Solutions since 2000, and has over 25 years’ experience in financial services. Before joining Citi, Paul was a Manager with A. T. Through her role in Payments, Sabrina supports the Bank’s overarching strategy to grow its Commercial and SME portfolio by maintaining a keen focus on Payment products geared to support the Commercial and SME segment. Prior to her current role, the career banker with over 20 years’ experience, held the position of Vice President, Retail Banking where she was responsible for the organizations expansive branch network, as well as the development and launch of the Bank’s Small and Medium Size Enterprise Division. A magna cum laude graduate of Florida International University (FIU), Sabrina holds an honors undergraduate degree in Business Administration, with a double major in Finance and International Business.
