Amadeus partners with Troovo to automate B2B travel payments
Travel technology company Amadeus has partnered with Troovo to integrate Troovo’s Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into its B2B wallet which it says will help the travel industry digitally transform B2B supplier payments.
Using RPA will mean key data which is related to each payment and booking can be moved between the booking system and airline Passenger Service System (PSS) by the software robot. The software robot can be configured to complete basic business processes which include entering 16 digits virtual card number, travel booking details from the airline portal.
This when combined with Amadeus’ B2B wallet solution, the robot can assist with travel agencies to pay suppliers using virtual cards that are specific to booking situation whether pre-paid, credit or debit.
“Even though our industry is in challenging and uncertain times, payment innovation has remained resilient given the typically low implementation burden and incremental contribution towards both cost reduction and revenue collection,” said Commented Damian Alonso, Head of Payer Services, Payments, Amadeus. “We’re confident the integration of Troovo’s RPA engine will help our travel agency customers to benefit from virtual payments even faster”.
According to the press release, the partnership also provides operational and finance teams at organisations using Amadeus’ B2B Wallet with a single point of processing and management of all virtual payments, delivering transparency and control.
“Virtual payments with Amadeus’ B2B Wallet, processed via Troovo, eliminate inefficiencies while providing a whole new level of security, data richness and ease of use thanks to RPA,” said Kurt Knackstedt, CEO at Troovo.
