PNC Bank appoints Regional President for Boston

PNC Bank has announced the appointment of Jon Bernstein as regional president for its expansion market in Boston. Bernstein has extensive experience in financial services and is a long-time Boston-area resident.

Last July, the company announced expansion plans to introduce its regional leadership model to Boston, a market where PNC’s Corporate & Institutional Banking already has a significant local presence, including Business Credit, Corporate Banking, Harris Williams, PNC Real Estate, Treasury Management, Institutional Asset Management and Solebury. The company also plans to expand its management team in Boston with the addition of a client and community relations director to deepen the bank’s community involvement and visibility in the region.

Bernstein brings nearly 25 years of financial services experience to PNC and the Boston team. He comes from Barclays, where he most recently served as a managing director in the Financial Institutions Group. There, he advised on several transactions for nationally branded financial services firms, and also led coverage for banking institutions that included PNC as well as banks from New England, the Midwest as well as the Southeast.
