U.S. Century Bank taps NCR to transform digital banking

With booming digitization in the payments space, banks are increasingly committing themselves to onboard the digital wave and taking up initiatives to provide digital banking services for their clients by collaborating with other established players in the space.

In such, Miami headquartered US Century Bank has selected NCR Corporation to provide digital banking services for its bank’s customers and businesses.

In a press release, the bank noted that it is currently undergoing a ‘digital transformation across its institution and recognized the need to modernize its digital banking platform’ and for this, the bank has roped in NCR corporation to use its NCR Digital Banking DI platform.

Such partnerships are a growing trend among mid-sized banks. Earlier this year, Pacific Western Bank selected Treasury Prime for API services while City National Bank joined with Extend to launch commercial card solutions.

Andy Collazo, executive vice president and head of bank operations for U.S. Century Bank said in the announcement that “(US Century Bank) experienced a notable increase in digital users over the past several months, highlighting just how important it is to invest in digital banking for both consumers and businesses”.

The bank also said that one of the reasons to select NCR was its support for the Spanish language as a significant portion of clients use Spanish as their primary language.

“It’s imperative for banks to deliver a simple and convenient digital banking experience that meets the specific needs of the consumers and businesses within their community,” said Douglas Brown, senior vice president and general manager, Digital Banking, NCR.

NCR Corporation is an Atlanta-based software, hardware and consultancy focused company for the financial, retail and hospitality industries.
