Prior to joining Lloyd’s he worked for over twenty years for First Data in a variety roles supporting solution development and deployment for Issuing, Acquiring, Consumer and Commercial customers.

Eric joined ING as Global Head of Cards in 2011 following his experience as Director of Cards Products and iDEAL with Dutch payments scheme management company Currence from 2005 onwards. Prior to that he has worked for ten years at PricewaterhouseCoopers/PwC Consulting as Associate Director, Financial Services Sector and after the acquisition by IBM as Associate Partner. Eric started his career from 1991-1996 with ABN AMRO as Relationship Banker Corporate & Global Clients and Cash Management Consultant. Eric studied Business Economics (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) and Business Administration (Nyenrode University).

    Francesco Cerlienco heads up the Commercial Cards Product Development and Market Management team at Citibank and is responsible for market management, product development and regulatory changes across Europe, Middle East and Africa. Francesco joined Citi Treasury and Trade Solutions business in 2008 serving in various roles, including client onboarding, implementation and business management before moving on to product management. Prior to Citi, Francesco worked at Deutsche Bank developing IT solutions for the derivatives trading desk. He started his career at Thomson Reuters where he held a number of positions in business analysis, client training and product delivery. Francesco has a Master’s degree in Management from the London School of Economics and a degree in Political Science and Economics from Cagliari University in Italy. He also holds the Certificate in International Cash Management from the Association of Corporate Treasurers.

    Sergio Ortega is responsible for BBVA’s global commercial cards solutions development enabling local, regional and global enterprises to homogeneously manage the expenses made with commercial cards in BBVA footprint (Europe & LAC). Sergio has 15 years experience in Payments Systems, first in BBVA Spain (consumer issuing, acquiring and innovation) and since 2012 in global positions focused on commercial cards. He is leading BBVA’s global commercial cards solution business line development from scratch following design thinking & agile methodologies, coordinating cross-functional local, global, business & IT teams. Sergio has a Master Degree in Computer Science from Deusto University (Spain) and Aalborg University (Denmark). He also has an Executive MBA from Esade Business School (Spain).

He is also in charge of niche offer including the upcoming co-brand Accor Payment Card : payment card linked to the All Accor Loyalty account. His background is entrepreneurial (created the gift boxes in France in 2002) and intrapreneurial (created first French gift card with Kadéos and prepaid activity within BNP Paribas group) after the EM Lyon Business School that he graduated from in 1999.

Prior to joining Mastercard, Brooke spent 10 years at American Express in London and NYC. Most recently she led the development and management of international loyalty solutions for Corporate Products, primarily focused on creating and launching a company-level loyalty program for the Middle Market space in 11 countries. Brooke also held roles in global business transformation, pursuing M&A opportunities and global business development, and creating partnerships with banks and travel agencies. She was previously director of finance for a satellite media company and spent several years as an investment banker.

David established PaySavi in 2018 to develop payment optimisation, data and business development solutions for service providers and their clients.     David Trecker is Senior Vice President of Business to Business (B2B) Payments at Mastercard. Responsibilities include leading In Control, Mastercard’s virtual card platform, and Track Business Payment Service, Mastercard’s multi-rail open-loop network to simplify and automate B2B payments. Prior to joining Mastercard, David held diverse leadership positions in Transaction Banking over 15 years. Most recently he was Supply Chain Finance Head at Bank of America; Before that, Global Venture Capital Lead for Citi Treasury & Trade Solutions. David is a member of the Commercial Payments International Global Advisory Board and an active contributor to the Global Supply Chain Finance Forum, a collaboration of leading industry associations to develop, publish and champion a set of commonly agreed market standards. David holds a Bachelor of Science in finance and legal studies from Indiana University and a Masters of Business Administration from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is based out of Mastercard’s world headquarters in Purchase, New York.

    Frank Martien commenced his post-MBA career in 1996 with First Annapolis Consulting, Inc. (“FA”) where he focused on card strategy, launch, and optimization for networks, national & regional financial institutions, technology companies, and private equity firms in the U.S., Canada, Europe, and Latin America. He was named an FA equity Partner in 2006. Following the acquisition of FA by Accenture in March 2017, Frank continued as a Managing Director and payments expert at Accenture through October 2020 with a focus on commercial, business, and consumer payments. Windward Strategy, Inc. was formed by him in October 2020 to provide strategy consulting with a focus on B2B payments settled on card rails. Frank is well known and trusted in the B2B payments industry and has served on the global advisory board of Commercial Payments International for many years.

    Greg Toussaint is a Director at Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC) based in the Paris office. He has more than 15 years of consulting payments experience with EDC in business strategy for financial services clients in Asia, Europe, Middle-East and the Americas markets. Greg has worked in EDC London's, Sydney's and Paris' offices and developed global perspectives on payments. He has gained extensive knowledge in both retail and B2B payments, including card products, instant payments and alternative forms of payments while working for a diversity of actors in the payments space (e.g. central banks, issuing and acquiring banks, payment schemes, merchants and payment providers). In particular, Greg has developed strong expertise in B2B payments with both demand-side clients (e.g. in the travel such as Air France, AccorHotels and IATA or other actors such Lyreco) and supply-side clients (e.g. schemes such as Mastercard, UATP, Visa and issuers such as BNP Paribas). Greg is a regular conference speaker and chairman at events focused on payments business and cards such as the MRC, Trustech or Commercial Payments International. Greg holds a Masters in Applied Mathematics and Computer Sciences from both Grenoble Institute of Technology in France and Barcelona Tech (UPC) in Spain.

Before joining Visa Europe she has been working as a Consultant for both Andersen, Deloitte & Touche and the OECD in Paris, dealing with a variety of financial services matters. She also worked for the Council of Europe in Strasbourg, in the Committee on Parliamentary and Public Relations. He holds a Master of Economics degree of Hamburg University. 2017 Patrick was named one of the ‘25 most influential’ by Business Travel News. Currently Patrick volunteers for VDR, the German Business Travel Association. He leads their task force ‘restart business travel’.

    In a career spanning over 40 years, Philip has held senior credit management roles in the high-tech and communication sector and in distribution and retail, which included spells at Olivetti and Vodafone. He was appointed Director General of the ICM in 2005, and later Chief Executive. Philip was behind the Institute’s drive to become a Chartered body (becoming the CICM in 2015). He was appointed to the post of interim Small Business Commissioner in January 2020. Philip is the author of the Managing Cashflow Guides for government, and the architect of the Prompt Payment Code which the CICM administered on behalf of the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) until it was transferred to the SBC’s office in March 2020. He has worked closely with successive governments in championing best-practice credit management and supporting small business. In his time leading the CICM, Philip helped transform the Institute and elevate its profile, keeping professional credit managers in the minds of government and key influencers. He was a board member of the Start-Up Loans Company, the Red Tape Champion for Insolvency and the first ever lay Chair of the Joint Insolvency Committee.
