Business travel is set for a post-pandemic revival with face to face meetings resuming at a greater pace. In a bid to expand and capture the market, payment platforms are integrating with booking sites for simpler products and services.

In such, US-based B2B payments company TreviPay has announced that it has entered the corporate accommodation market via its embedded payments solution which is being deployed through Choice Hotels International.

As per the statement, to bring greater simplicity, flexibility and financial management support to business travel, the solution would allow companies booking their corporate travel with Choice Hotels to select an invoicing option so that the corporate travellers “no longer have to present a physical card for payment and the company receives consolidated invoices for all travellers”.

In February this year, AirPlus and Coupa team up for business spend management for travel.

“Bringing innovation and payment expertise to the hospitality industry is an important step for the B2B industry,” said Brandon Spear, CEO of TreviPay.

Adding further, “Corporate clients of participating hotel chains will be relieved of time-consuming invoice tracking and expense management with consolidated hospitality billing, enabling them to focus on other business growth and development areas as business travel rebounds.”

While last year, Visa’s Cybersource joined IATA to streamline commerce and payment efficiencies.

Citing a study by Global Business Travel Association, the statement noted that the business travel globally is likely to jump by 38% this year and “the opportunity to offer expense management capabilities is expected to attract time-strapped business travellers and alleviate companies from distributing and managing employee card programs”.

TreviPay is a US-based B2B payments company that provides payment solutions to other companies via omnichannel payments solutions. It has processed payments of more than $6 billion each day in over 27 nations globally while Choice Hotels International is a chain with 7100 hotels in over 35 nations.
