EMQ raises $20 million in Series B funding round
Hong Kong-based global financial settlement network, EMQ has raised $20 million in Series B funding round which was led by WI Harper Group. This funding round also saw participation from other investors such as Abu Dhabi Capital, AppWorks, DG Ventures, Hard Yaka, Intudo Ventures, January Capital, Quest Venture Partners, SparkLabs Taipei, Vectr Fintech Partners, and VS Partners.
According to the company, this funding will be used towards its international growth, product development and licensing activities across Asia, Europe and the Americas.
In May 2020, EMQ had launched its payments technology which enables same-day cross-border payment settlement function in local currencies in eight nations. Fundings to fintech have been $704 million (excluding EMQ) since the start of the year.
