HSBC launches APIs to aid corporate treasury for integrated payments

HSBC has launched a suite of Application Program Interfaces (APIs) which is designed for corporate treasurers to improve their payment processes. The bank will launch this platform in 27 markets around the globe.

The technology will allow corporate treasures to initiate fund transfers from their workstations without having to switch between separate bank platforms. The clients can also receive confirmation of their payments request and can also track payments from their accounts. HSBC’s API can also be used to check account balances and transactions on-demand and in real-time.

“APIs are the future of corporate-to-bank connectivity, and we are excited to be putting clients at the centre of new developments to help them run and grow their business.” said HSBC Head of Digital, Global Liquidity and Cash Management Nadya Hijazi

TATA CLiQ, an e-commerce platform by TATA Group in India processes instant refund to consumers using HSBC Treasury APIs.
