Sokin and Mastercard partners to provide payment services in LatAm

With Latin America being the next hotspot for the commercial payments expansion, companies are looking to gain a first-mover advantage.

In such, Sokin and Mastercard have signed a comprehensive agreement to extend their partnership to provide fixed-price payment services in Brazil and Mexico.

Under this partnership, Mastercard will be supporting Sokin under its Fintech Express program enabling Sokin to expand its footprints for both businesses and consumers in the Latin American region.

Last month, Sokin had launched Sokin Enterprise in Europe while the company.

“The barriers to accessing the global payments ecosystem have resulted in many millions being unable to easily, and instantly, make essential payments and transfers”, said Vroon Modgill, CEO at Sokin.

The press note also mentioned that Sokin already has similar agreements with Mastercard in Europe and Asia and back in November 2020 Sokin became a Mastercard principal member and card issuer for Singapore.

Sokin in the announcement noted that it is the first payments platform to provide a fixed fee payment service for cost-effective currency exchange with no hidden charges and Sokin will use Mastercard’s solutions and card services to expand its footprints and launch its next-generation card programs for businesses and consumers.

Sokin is available in 80 countries worldwide and with Sokin Wallet in more than 200 countries and territories as noted in the press release.
