Unisys partners with PayCargo for B2B payments

While global travel has been ravaged by the pandemic, air freight has remained a bright spot. Now, software provider Unisys has partnered with PayCargo, the US-based B2B payments company focused on freight for the development of a new payments platform based on Unisys Digistics, its air cargo software product.

Under this new collaboration, the integrated solution will provide carriers to process payments quickie also at the same time allowing them to view payments made via PayCargo on AWB Charges function within the Unisys Digistics Solution for auditing and payments tracking.

In June this year, TravelgateX and PayParc had signed an agreement to create a B2B digital wallet which will be operated via API integration.

“As a result of our relationship with PayCargo, we are providing real-time payment visibility that not only improves cash management but further creates a seamless, transparent and user-friendly environment that will reduce administrative costs and better manage electronic payments for their business,” said Curtis Schuler, Unisys vice president, Client Management, Americas.

The solution will also allow for automated payments creation for payers which includes freight forwards and importers. The Application Programming Interface (API) platform integrates PayCargo directly into Unisys cargo management Digi-Portal system, the press release noted.

The air cargo division of Delta Airline has implemented the PayCargo payments system into their own platform for their customers.
