ANNA partners with Currencycloud to bring international banking for SMB

Commercial payments companies are continuing to expand their footprint as well as enhance their infrastructure to keep pace by partnering or acquiring other payment companies.

This week, UK based business account provider company, Anna Money has announced that it has partnered with cross-border payments company, Currencycloud to bring enhancement to its international banking solutions for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

In its press statement, the company noted the common issue with online banking is that clients have to leave one app to go to another to facilitate other international payments which become cumbersome for users.

Last month, Visa announced the acquisition of Currencycloud, which is an electronic money institution authorised by the UK Financial Conduct Authority. Before that, the company had partnered with DynaPay for cross-border payments and Alviere.

In partnership with Currencycloud would offer Anna Money users with ‘international banking connected to their ANNA Money account without extra layers’. The multi-currency account would also offer the clients the ability to pay and receive in GBP, USD and Euro with Currencycloud Spark integration.

“ANNA Money’s customers will benefit from a seamless international payments solution that will allow them to receive and payout in multiple currencies, providing them with a platform to truly become global”, said Nick Cheetham, Chief Revenue Officer at Currencycloud.

The solution offered through this partnership is available to Anna Money users immediately, as per the press note.

Anna Money is a business account and tax application for small businesses and it can perform tasks such as sending and pay business invoices.
