Emburse launches Tallie Travel and Emburse Cards for small business spend

The travel industry has been the hardest hit in the pandemic and as economies slowly reopen, travel management platforms and payment companies are hoping to grab a share of this market and simplify the process for business of all sizes.

This week, Emburse, a California based accounts payable automation company has rolled out Emburse Cards and Tallie Travel which would offer clients to manage their travel and out-of-pocket spend.

Tallie Travel is backed by AmTrav which is a corporate travel business platform that provides with travel booking platform and it will integrate with Tallie expense platform to enforce organization’s policies and provide with the reconciliation of transaction details.

According to the press release, Tallie Travel provides small businesses with a range of benefits that small businesses can avail such as negotiated rates, the duty of care services, and 24/7 in-house support for travel changes.

“As business travel re-emerges, cost control and duty of care are critical elements of every organization’s travel program, regardless of size,” said Eric Friedrichsen, CEO of Emburse.

Adding further Friedrichsen said, “However, for too long, small businesses have had the stark choice of using consumer cards and travel booking solutions or business platforms that weren’t optimized for their specific needs. With the introduction of Emburse Cards and Tallie Travel, small businesses can benefit from the robust, feature-rich card and travel booking solutions designed with their requirements in mind.”

Tallie Travel also provides built-in policy control and virtual and physical cards, which can be issued and administered within a single interface, while employee card program managers can control spend at a detailed level.

Earlier this year, Amadeus had partnered with Troovo to integrate Troovo’s Robotic Process Automation (RPA) into its B2B wallet which it says will help the travel industry digitally transform B2B supplier payments and TravelBank had teamed up with U.S. Bankcorp to integrate its travel and expanse management platform.
