Nium and Finci announce partnership for international payments

With rising commercial payments digitization, companies are increasingly relying on global partnerships to expand their geographical footprints for their niche markets.

In such, Lithuania headquartered payments services company Finci has announced a partnership with Singapore based cross-border payments platform, Nium. Under this partnership, Finci will use Nium’s network in Asia-Pacific (APAC) and Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

Last year, Modern Exchange partnered with Nium to enable international payments while Visa, Nium and Fuiou Pay collaborated on the global business payment solution.

The press release noted that the collaboration will also enable real-time payments for the new markets and also improve the existing regions for Finci’s clients which include both individuals and businesses.

Nium’s CRO, Frederick Crosby, claimed that it is ‘helping them (businesses) to build the footprint internationally’ and also ‘addressing and overcoming the constraints of local payments infrastructures is a real need for companies’.

In related news, Nium partnered with E9pay to expand remittance offerings for businesses in Asian markets last year.

Finci has mentioned that with partnerships like with Nium, it is hoping to expand services to Asia, Africa and Latin America. It is also enabling businesses in ‘industries like shipping, IT, aircraft management, logistics, trading and construction to achieve a faster, cheaper and more efficient payments ecosystem’.

Finci is a payment services company which provides its services to private as well as business consumers in over 29 nations. With its application based services, it allows clients to send and receive funds globally in multiple currencies. The company is licensed and supervised by the Bank of Lithuania.
