Sweden based B2B payments company Payer has entered into a strategic partnership with Resurs Bank to develop a subscription solution for the Nordic retail market using Payer’s Application Programming Interface (API) platform as the engine.

As per the company’s statement, the API platform by Payer is being designed to solve ‘complex payment processes for B2B merchants’ and also to enable ‘consumer grade’ user experience across the different stages such as order-to-cash value chain, focus on conversion, payment and automation of accounts receivable.

With the usage of Payer’s API, the partnership will leverage this and give the clients access to the platform to manage their ‘subscriptions and important functions specific to their individual needs’.

In Europe last year, Verto teamed up with Banking Circle for cross-border payment services while ANNA partnered with Currencycloud to bring international banking for SMBs.

Also emphasises that this partnership with Resurs Bank is a ‘company’s early step into the vast Banking sector which essentially serves the entire B2B merchant community’.

“By entering into this new partnership with Resurs Bank we will be able to serve businesses with completely new subscription solutions to accelerate the growth of the circular economy across the Nordics”, says Daniel Brännström, Director of Partnerships at Payer.

Payer Financial Services AB is an authorized Swedish payment institution under the supervision of the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority (Finansinspektionen).
